All of our youth hostels are quality-assured and graded by VisitScotland offering a comfortable range of private, en-suite and shared rooms.

The majority of our youth hostels are licensed and offer a selection of food and drink, along with well-equipped self-catering kitchens, drying rooms and laundry facilities.

Over 70% of Hostelling Scotland’s customer-facing team have now completed WorldHost Training, showing our commitment to excellent customer service.

Youth hostel opening dates and reception times outwith the main holiday season can vary - for example weekend opening only.

Please check our website or call or email the relevant youth hostel directly.

As a guide, the reception desks of small rural hostels are normally open between 7.30-10.00 and 17.00-22.30 and are generally closed during the day.

Our city hostels are normally open 24 hours.
