At SYHA Hostelling Scotland, all of our Youth Hostels have self-catering kitchens and dining rooms. We understand that sometimes you might not want to cook while on holiday or after a long day. For that reason, we provide a range of catering options to our guests. Some of our Youth Hostels are even licenced, allowing you to relax with a beer or a glass of wine at the end of your day.

Wee Breakfast £3.75
The wee breakfast includes cereal, yoghurt, muffin, fruit pot, fruit juice and tea or coffee.
Continental Breakfast £4.50
The continental breakfast includes cereal, toast, yoghurt, fruit, ham, cheese, fruit juice and tea or coffee.
Cooked Breakfast £6.00
The cooked breakfast includes bacon, sausage, eggs, potato scone, hash brown, tomato, beans, toast, fruit juice and tea or coffee.

Convenience Meals Prices at hostel
Many of our Youth Hostels, now offer quick and easy ‘convenience meals’, we provide the food and you heat it up! Menus range by hostel but can include Chilli Con Carne, Chicken Curry and Pizza.
When you book a stay at one our youth hostels, you will be able to book your meals online at the time of booking your accommodation. But don’t worry; if you change your mind on arrival you can book at reception.
Youth Hostel Cafes
A few of our Youth Hostels provide cafes where guests can relax during the day. Haddington Place at Edinburgh Central is situated on the ground floor of the Youth Hostel and provides a selection of food & drink throughout the day. Cafes are also available at Rowardennan Lodge and Oban Youth Hostel.
Youth Hostel Shops
Most of our Youth Hostels have a small shop where you can buy a number of items from sweets, crisps, soup, pasta and soft drinks. We also stock a number of essential toiletries including soap, shampoo and toothpaste.
Food & Drink for Groups
We offer a variety of catering options for small and large groups, at very reasonable prices. All our food is fresh, healthy and cooked on the premises using locally-sourced produce whenever possible. Menus are creative and flexible, and our chefs are on hand to discuss your requirements.
Groups are requested to book any catering required at the same time as booking accommodation.
